A Letter to Dharma

Dhar·ma

/ˈdärmə/

Dharma is a key concept with multiple meanings in many religions, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and others. There is no single-word translation for dharma in Western languages.

For putting her into words, escapes her truth.

To know her, is to know beauty, pain, love, magic, hope, faith and a dreamer‘s dream - all wrapped into one.

The wanderer, oh beautiful one.

You taught us to look for magic in the trees, and most importantly in ourselves.

You taught us to love voraciously, even if we couldn't understand your ways.

You taught us that we are deeply connected to all things, every ounce of air around us.

You taught me, what it means to be a mama bear, and my daughter what it means to be cherished.

You love your boys with every ounce of your being and beyond.

Your sacred soul found divine unity with those who stumbled on your path.

Your path was winding, always coming back to love.

May we honor her, may we accept her, may we love her.

Soar freely in Peace, Hillary.

Love,

Lauren
